I left Pulleyns in April '93, and started on for RPL Transport in Milton Keynes, doing a regular weekly round-trip to Germany. Usual sort of groupage work: drive down to Dover on Sunday and ship out, then drive to either the truckstop at Asten, or to Venlo. Monday across to a haulage company in Hagen, they would take most of the load off, leaving me with 2 or 3 deliveries. Once empty, it was then 2 or 3 collections and back into Hagen to top up. Back to the UK, 2 or 3 deliveries, 2 or 3 collections, then into Samsons in Milton Keynes to top up on Friday evening, and away again on Sunday.
